The Appalachian square log provides a traditional, rustic appearance along with remarkable versatility. With our cutting-edge interlocking double tongue and groove system, square logs have become a very usable and structurally-sound profile. This interlocking double tongue and groove system is well known for holding logs in place with superior strength and airflow prevention. We offer square logs with either a v-groove or a chink joint—along with the option of being hand hewn—enabling customers to create a striking, unique, old-world aesthetic.
The round log has been used in log homes and log cabins for hundreds—or even thousands—of years, as early builders simply cut down trees, trimmed them to length, and used them in their natural round shape. Our classic round logs enable modern homeowners to achieve the look and feel of the cabins built by early pioneers on our continent.
D-logs feature a straight, square interior face and a slightly rounded exterior face, giving its cross section a noticeable resemblance to a capital D. This gives the exterior of a log cabin a rustic appearance while maintaining a smooth, refined appearance in the interior. As with all of our log profiles, our D-logs feature the interlocking double tongue and groove system for superior strength and airflow prevention.
